Kelsey Brookes, "Sink" print, edition of 100
Kelsey Brookes is one of my absolute favorite artists. Touching upon middle-Eastern theologies and utilizing a delicate color palette, Kelsey’s work possesses both power and subtlety. The strking poses of his god-like figures don’t over-power the work or give it a specific narrative. Set against a backdrop of intricate pastel design work, his pieces are more of a meditative mandala that calms the spirit. Not only is his work gorgeous but he himself is one of the nicest people I’ve ever had the pleasure of getting to know. I was glad to find out that he has two new prints available on Busy-Being.com. “Sink” and “Swim” retail for $100 each and are an edition of 100.
