The non-profit public art organization, Los Angeles Nomadic Division (LAND), is having it’s first annual benefit to further support their mission in presenting dynamic and unconventional artist practices for public forum throughout Los Angeles. The director and co-founder of LAND, Shamim M. Momin, is known for her tenure as curator for the Whitney and her co-curation of the 2004 and 2008 biennials. She has brought a provocative sensibility to the public exhibitions by featuring avant-garde work and reigning in viewers through their accessible environments. LAND’s past art exhibitions have featured works by emerging artists such as Artemio and José León Cerrillo. Their benefit will be held on July 14th and 15th and will feature performances by Gift Horse Project with Rain Phoenix and The Moor. Click here, to lean more about LAND’s first annual benefit.
