I’m a huge proponent of animal rights and for humans to exhibit humane treatment and respect for all living creatures. That being said, I’m loving what artists, in adherence with taxidermy laws, are doing with dead things lately.

The last time I was at the CCA campus in Oakland, I stopped into the Tecoah Bruce Gallery and my eyes beheld the work of Conrad Ruiz. Images of Obama riding a corgie, Tracy Morgan rendered as a satyr riding on the back of a white horse…Amazing! Check out the rest of the work here. (more…)
